Roll Call Announces New National Security Blogger ... Boeing!

Roll Call announced this week the launch of its new blog, Topic A: Defense, for the "national security community." The blog is sponsored by Boeing—one of the highest dollar value US government contractors both overall and in the defense category.

As explained in the blog launch announcement, Boeing creates some of the blog's posts. The announcement assures us that "sponsor-generated content is clearly marked as such." So let's inaugurate a new game, "Independent Blog Post or Boeing Advertisement." Without peeking, is the blog post that begins with the following paragraph an independent blog post or Boeing advertisement?
The Heritage Foundation and AEI announced “the Project for the Common Defense, a coalition of independent volunteers committed to national defense policies that are defined by strategic clarity and robust capabilities.” Former US Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ) introduced the effort as “a return to the “bipartisan consensus we’ve had in the past for a common defense.”
Not so easy, is it?  Find the answer here.

It looks like Boeing will not be the only high dollar value government contractor to become a Roll Call blogger. The announcement says Topic A: Defense "is the first in a Roll Call network of 'sponsored blogs' on specific areas of policy interest."

Roll Call's parent company CQ Roll Call describes itself as having "the largest press corps on Capitol Hill" and being "the premier source of timely news, objective facts and analysis, and coverage of elections and the politics of legislation."
