28pages.org Founder Brian McGlinchey to Speak at RPI Conference!

undefined

We can make a difference! That is a main theme we are keeping in mind as we put together our “Peace and Prosperity 2016” conference in Washington, D.C. this September 10th. The pursuit of a peaceful foreign policy is a task we can all take up. Demanding transparency from the US government can produce results. And we can win!

This week the spotlight turned to one person who has helped prove this right: founder of 28pages.org, Brian McGlinchey.

As Brian explains in today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report, he was inspired to work for peace and liberty but didn’t quite know what he could do. Then, seeing Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) describe his reaction to reading the long-classified 28 pages of the Senate’s 9/11 report, he knew just what that “thing” was he needed to be doing: pressing for the release of those pages! So he started a webpage and he started a movement and eventually public pressure became so great that the government, late on Friday, July 15th, released those pages.

We were fascinated by Brian’s success story and we asked him to share it with all of our friends who will be joining us in September and we are so delighted that he agreed.

“28 Pages” declassification activist Brian McGlinchey will be joining Dr. Ron Paul, libertarian legends Lew Rockwell and Jacob Hornberger, and several more very special guests soon to be announced at our “Peace and Prosperity 2016” conference. Tickets are available for just $65 including lunch but they are going fast. Act now before we are completely sold out!

The 28 Pages – Finally Revealed

After some 14 years of classification, the hidden 28 pages of the Senate 9/11 report were released last Friday — not coincidentally the exact moment you release something when you don’t want much press coverage. But the explosive revelations — and even more explosive implications — are now finally coming out. In today’s Liberty Report we interview the individual who should take much credit for the release of these papers. Brian McGlinchey founded the group 28Pages.org to educate the population and to push for the release of the pages. His is a great news story for all of us trying to make a change. And guess what? We announced on today’s show that Brian will be joining us as a speaker at our September 10 “Peace and Prosperity 2016” conference in Washington, D.C. Join us there!

Millennials Are Facing Existential Crisis

According to Neil Howe and William Strauss’s book The Fourth Turning (1997), the millennial generation (born 1982-2005) will face a severe economic, cultural, religious, or military crisis — or all of the above — as they slowly move into positions of societal leadership. They were influenced largely growing up in the immediate aftermath of the end of the Cold War, an era where the US was at first adrift and then slouched from a handful of interventions overseas into a state of permanent war. Is there a way to avoid the crisis that appears to be looming? Tune in to the Liberty Report for Dr. Paul’s prescription:

Turkey Coup – Is It Over?

Three days after the mysterious Turkish coup that was put down almost instantly, Turkish president Erdogan has conducted massive purges of the judiciary and the military. He even referred to the coup as a “godsend” that would allow him to rid the government of those who are disloyal. The purges have focused attention in Washington and Brussels, where he is being warned that talks for EU membership — and even existing NATO membership — may be at risk if the government crackdown gets more serious. Is the US and EU bluffing? After all, Erdogan currently has nearly three million Syrian refugees on Turkish soil that he could send to Europe at any time. And closing the US base at Incirlik would create havoc for US “power projection” in the region. We examine these and more in today’s Liberty Report:

After Nice Attack – Round Up Usual Suspects?

Who benefits from attacks like we saw in Nice, France yesterday? The authoritarians never waste a minute exploiting these events to call for more restrictions on our liberties. Take away guns, monitor our phone calls, restrict our movement, censor the Internet. But the one thing they will never do is look at our foreign policy, to look at our unfair central banking system, to consider the damage of the drug war. Whether on the Right or the Left, authoritarians are hammers and all they see are nails. We are the nails. More on Nice attack and its aftermath in today’s Liberty Report:

How Disinformation Feeds The War Machine

According to recent polls by both Pew and Gallup, when Americans understand the actual level of US military spending they by a large margin back a decrease. That is why we hear the constant refrain of politicians screeching about the need to “rebuild” the military and to spend a trillion dollars updating our nuclear weapons program. The media plays its part as well, broadcasting endless segments meant to ratchet up the fear factor. The “think tanks” funded by the military-industrial complex come out with papers laying out the case for US global domination. The US national security state is maintained through fear and propaganda, just like in the Soviet Union. Are we headed for a similar collapse? More today in the Liberty Report:

State Department Stonewalls On Syria Weapons

Why can’t the State Department spokespersons give a straight answer when asked a clear and direct question by the media? And when they do give an answer why is it often such a bold-faced lie? Either it’s “I cannot comment on that because there is an ongoing investigation” or “‘no boots on the ground’ in syria has never been our policy.” When it comes to US transfers of weapons in Syria that are ending up in the hands of ISIS — particularly when some have possibly been used recently to shoot down a Russian helicopter — the US government needs to do more than cover up. We must demand the truth! That is what we are doing in today’s Liberty Report:

Brexit: A Win For Localism?

Will UK leaders ignore the recent Brexit vote and go ahead with business as usual? European Parliament Member and leading voice in the “leave the EU” movement Daniel Hannan tells today’s Liberty Report that he does not think so. He is confident that the move toward localism and away from the centralism of Brussels will be good for the UK and for its friends and partners around the world. NATO’s Warsaw War Plans

The big NATO 2016 Summit begins in Warsaw today. On the agenda is approving a NATO force of up to 4,000 troops to be stationed on Russia’s borders in the Baltic. It will be the first regular troop deployment aimed at Moscow since the fall of the Berlin Wall more than a quarter-century ago. How would the US feel if a reconstituted Warsaw Pact expanded to include Cuba and Mexico decided to station thousands of troops on the US border with Mexico? Threatened? Yet Russia is not supposed to feel threatened? Also on NATO’s agenda will be prodding European governments to begin spending more money on defense. Though Russia has been declared an “existential threat” by NATO, those countries directly in the line of Russia’s fire do not spend money on defense. Is that odd? Today’s Liberty Report is joined by Future of Freedom Foundation President Jacob Hornberger. NATO is on the menu. Watch below:

UK’s Chilcot Report Exposes Iraq War Lies

The Iraq war was a war of choice, not of necessity. That was the conclusion of the Chilcot Report today, the culmination of a seven year long investigation by the UK’s Sir John Chilcot. In one sentence the horror of the US/UK attack on Iraq is laid bare. According to the respected British medical journal The Lancet, one million Iraqis died in the war that would not have died had the US/UK not attacked. That means more than a million died due to the lies of then-UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, then-President George W. Bush and the coterie of neocons who egged them on. A cakewalk? More like a death march. What are the chances of a real investigation here in the US of the lies used to get to attack Iraq? Ron Paul points out in today’s Liberty Report that it is very unlikely. After all, the political elites in the US still believe in these kinds of interventions.

Conspiracy Fact: NATO’s Russia War Push

Recently hacked emails show that NATO’s then-Supreme Allied Commander for Europe, Gen. Philip Breedlove (USAF) was actively seeking to promote a conflict with Russia over Ukraine. He was also actively seeking to undermine President Obama’s position opposing actions that could lead to war with Russia. Breedlove declared his own war on multiple fronts, secretly manipulating US public opinion using false stories of Russian tanks in Ukraine. He conspired with NATO-funded think tanks to propagandize the public through the use of military “information war” techniques. A glimpse into the deep state’s conspiracy fact in today’s Liberty Report:
