Obama’s Syrian Allies

The Washington Times is reporting that the US shift in favor of overtly arming the Syrian rebels was celebrated by the rebels with an orgy of innocent blood. According to the Times, a Christian priest and another Christian believer were beheaded by the US-allied radicals after claiming that the two Christians were siding with Syrian president Bashar Assad.

Writes the Times:

A priest and another Christian were beheaded before a cheering crowd by Syrian insurgents who say they aided and abetted the enemy, President Bashar Assad’s military, foreign media reported.

An undated video that made the Internet rounds on Wednesday showed two unnamed men with tied hands surrounded by a cheering crowd of dozens, just moments before their heads were cut off with a small knife, Syria Report said. The attackers in the video then lifted the head for show, and placed it back on the body. The incident took place in the countryside of Idlib, the media report said.

This is hardly an isolated incident, however, as Syrian Christian leaders like Mother Agnes Mariam of the Cross in Homs have been reporing to anyone who would listen (precious few are interested in the US, sadly) that Christians are being specifically targeted for genocide by the Syrian rebels.

Of course it is revolting when anyone is killed in such a tragic conflict, all the more so non-combattants of any faith or no faith. However, Christian warmongers in the US have thus far chosen to ignore the slaughter of Christians in places like Syria — and Iraq before it — which makes one wonder if they worship the demons of war or the Prince of Peace.
