Here’s the big — really big — story of the day: AP is reporting that ISIS has sent at least 400 fighters into Europe in semi-autonomous cells to rain down a wave of terror that may make the Brussels attacks earlier this week look like child’s play. This underground terror army is said to have trained in Syria, Iraq, and possibly some of the former republics of the USSR, and they have infiltrated themselves into Europe to await further instructions.
Guess why they are so furious with Europe and the West? Years of intervention, regime change, bombs, and attacks, starting at least with the idiotic 2003 US invasion of Iraq. Before the neocons had the bright idea to overthrow the secular authoritarian Saddam Hussein, there was no al-Qaeda or ISIS (an al-Qaeda breakaway group) in Iraq. Ditto for Libya, where for all his faults Gaddafi dealt with jihadists very harshly. And don’t forget secular Syria, where what little Islamic extremism cropped up here and there was quickly dealt with.
Western intervention — slavishly followed by Merkel, Juncker, and the EU bureaucrats — created a hotbed of Islamist extremism in the Middle East and now that molten lava is spreading westward.
Guess how they got there? Of course we all know the answer to this one. Angela Merkel flung open Europe’s doors to a flood of thousands and thousands of “refugees” who arrived and were re-settled with very few questions asked. It was curious how so many of these “refugees” were men of military age who arrived without families. Now perhaps we know what some of them had in mind when they packed their bags to come west.
And our great ally Turkey has been there facilitating the export of terrorism from the Middle East and North Africa to Europe. Reports the AP:
A senior Iraqi intelligence official who was not authorized to speak publicly said people from the cell that carried out the Paris attacks are scattered across Germany, Britain, Italy, Denmark and Sweden. Recently, a new group crossed in from Turkey, the official said.
Remember how Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban was called a “Nazi” by the pipsqueak Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann for refusing to offer Hungary as a home for tens of thousands of “refugees” from the Middle East? Who’s sorry now, Werner?
If Angela Merkel is not out of a job by the end of the week, Germans have truly had their spines — and brains — surgically removed.
