US Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) delivers keynote address to 2021 Ron Paul Scholars

Young scholars: are you looking for a life-changing opportunity jam-packed into one day?

The Ron Paul Institute is pleased to announce the third Ron Paul Scholars Seminar. Our first two seminars, held in 2019 and 2021, were great successes and thanks to generous sponsors we are able to again welcome upper division undergraduate students and graduate students to participate in a day-long foreign policy and civil liberties “boot camp.”

The Seminar will take place on September 2nd at the The Westin Washington Dulles Airport in Dulles, VA.

RPI 2022 Scholars will also be invited to attend the Ron Paul Institute’s “Anatomy of a Police State conference the following day and will also be invited to attend the VIP post-conference reception.

The Ron Paul Scholars Seminar is modeled on graduate school seminars where a thirty minute presentation from the professor or professor-in-practice will be followed by another 20-30 minutes of lively debate and discussion. Past lecturers have included US Rep. Thomas Massie, former US Rep. John Duncan, Jr., bestselling author James Bovard, Future of Freedom Foundation president Jacob Hornberger, former CIA counterterrorism operations officer Phil Giraldi, and more.

Successful applicants will understand that this is a program demanding a high level of independence and self-reliance. Scholars are expected to make their own travel arrangements and act very quickly. Think of it as a “pop-up” internship.

The Ron Paul Institute will book a hotel room (double occupancy) for Thursday and Friday night and will provide a $500 scholarship for each scholar to cover travel and related costs. Additional expenses may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Interested students are asked to fill out an application form and submit it by July 30th. Successful applicants will be notified by August 5th and will be expected to make travel plans very quickly.

Plan to arrive by Thursday afternoon on the 1st of September and to attend an informal pre-event get-together.

There are only ten available places in this year’s program, so interested students should waste no time applying.
