Hate Speech? Texas Lawmaker Drops Bill To Make It A Federal Crime For Whites To Criticize Minorities

US Congress Member Sheila Jackson-Lee has introduced legislation making it a federal hate crime for white people (and white people only) to criticize or “vilify” any racial minorities. It is tempting to laugh at such tomfoolery, but attacks on the First Amendment must all be taken seriously.
