Former US House Member and presidential candidate Ron Paul is having a birthday party the afternoon of Saturday, August 15 in his hometown of Lake Jackson, Texas. And you are invited!

Admission is $20 per adult and, as explained on the Mises Institute’s website, covers “Texas BBQ, a country music band, birthday cake and the thrilling and moving occasion of a lifetime.” Admission is free for children and students.
The party will be a great opportunity to wish Paul, who turns 80 this month, well and spend an afternoon with so many others — including Ron Paul’s former Congressional staff and current Ron Paul Institute staff — who have been influenced by Paul’s advocacy for liberty and a noninterventionist foreign policy. Since his retirement from the House, Dr. Paul continues his advocacy and educational work, including in new undertakings as chairman of the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity, host of the Ron Paul Liberty Report, and author of the new book Swords into Plowshares: A Life in Wartime and a Future of Peace and Prosperity.
