It’s Ron Paul’s Birthday. Guess What He Wants?

Rp Bday

Today Ron Paul, the Founder and CEO of the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity, celebrates his birthday with a plea for assistance to his Institute. He is concerned about the strong neocon push to war with Russia and is determined to fight back. He is alarmed at the level of war propaganda that otherwise goes unchallenged. His Institute was founded to debunk the lies that lead us to war and has had great success in its short life, he notes. He asks for help to continue the mission of the Ron Paul Institute.

Writes Dr. Paul:

Today is my birthday, and though it is not polite to ask for a present I am going to make an exception this year. Won’t you please send a gift of support to my Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity? It would mean so much to me and to our cause.

We are fighting the war party, challenging their propaganda at every turn. But we are on the ropes and we need your help – as I write this to you they are trying to lie us into yet another war that could be the end of us all. Our job is to tell the truth and to expose their lies.

That’s why I founded the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity, and right now I am especially concerned about the drive to war against Russia. Indeed, I have never seen such a dangerous stand-off between nuclear powers. The US government continues to add sanction upon sanction against Russia over a civil war in Ukraine resulting from a US-staged coup.

He concludes:

[G]oing by our influence in our first year, RPI is a big success. Literally millions read our work online, and are influenced by it. Our web traffic puts us up there with organizations many times our size! More than 200 other news sites and blogs regularly re-print our material. We are taking non-interventionism into the enemy camp, which is why neocons have tried to destroy the RPI.

There is so much else to do with publications, conferences, student internships, and teaching peace and prosperity. We are making great progress, but a closed sign on the door will strike a fearful blow against our ideas. …

But we do need your help. Your tax-deductible donation of $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000, or more would be like a rescue squad.

Help me wipe the smirk off the neocons’ faces, and all those who kill for profit, and kill freedom in the process. I am counting on you. …

P.P.S. For a tax-deductible gift of $100 or more, I will autograph a copy of my book for you: “A Foreign Policy of Freedom: Peace, Commerce, and Honest Friendship.” Just let me know how to inscribe it.

Read the whole letter here. And please support RPI if you can!
