Israel’s Days Are Numbered

by | Jul 6, 2026

Maybe you’ve heard of Dr. John Mearsheimer? He appears regularly on a variety of news shows and independent podcasts because of his deep understanding of foreign relations. Dr. Mearsheimer is a professor of political science at the University of Chicago and co-authored the well-regarded book “The Israel Lobby” published in 2006.

Recently Dr. Mearsheimer has opined that something is seriously wrong in the state of Israel. In particular he was referencing the nations obsession with military aggression against its neighbors. According to the Jerusalem Times 78 percent of Israelis want to continue the war with Iran. A Pew Research Center poll found that 73 percent of Israelis think the slaughter in Gaza is about right or should be ramped up even more.

In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus Christ said:

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
Matthew 7:15-20 NKJV

Let’s consider the “fruit” of the state of Israel in light of Christs words.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry and corroborated by the U.N. as of February 2026 over 75,000 Palestinian’s have been killed since the October 7, 2023 uprising. Over 20,000 of the deaths have been children. Interestingly, Israel has killed 248 journalists covering the war. Compare that to the Vietnam War when 63 journalists died over a 20-year period covering the fighting.

So yes, it appears obvious that Dr. Mearsheimer is correct that something is deeply wrong with Israel’s callous disregard for human life.

But why?

Why does the nation of Israel feel entitled to slaughter innocent Palestinians with impunity? I am not a mental health professional but over the years I’ve had up close, personal experience with individuals who exhibited what I’ve come to learn is a particularly challenging mental health condition called malignant narcissism.

Common traits of a malignant narcissist include:

Being extremely arrogant and self-centered
Disregarding the feelings and needs of other people
Manipulating, using, or exploiting others for personal gain or pleasure
Having an extreme need for power
Acts of revenge against those who criticize them
Fantasizing about ways to obtain more power or dominance over others
Lacking conscience, regret, or remorse for their actions
Being cruel and taking pleasure in the pain of others
High levels of aggression towards other people
Paranoia or mistrust of others

Maybe it’s just me but when I read these “symptoms” it appears obvious that Israel (and Trump for that matter) check virtually every box, and that’s scary.

I believe the nation of Israel suffers from a totally unfounded superiority complex manifesting as malignant narcissism. They genuinely believe they are superior humans and they have the right to murder anyone who might stand in the way of their Greater Israel project.

Israel likes to pretend it is only trying to defend itself by invading other countries like Lebanon and Syria and the territories of Gaza and the West Bank which are independent of Israel. There is no attempt to live peacefully with its neighbors but it is bound and determined to murder its way to a Greater Israel.

Israelis like to claim they are God’s “chosen” people. But the Bible says God will bless the “seed” of Abraham, not Israel. Genesis 22:18 says:

“And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed. . . “

Abraham had eight sons in total. The first two sons became the patriarchs of Islam and Judaism. Ishmael, the patriarch of Muslims and Issac, the patriarch of Jews. Therefore, Palestinians have just as much right to their land in the Middle East as Jews.

Jews and Muslims have lived side by side peacefully for over a thousand years in the Middle East. They still do today in countries like Iran, Iraq and Turkey. They could live peacefully in Palestine but for Israel’s militaristic blood lust.

Most of the trouble can be traced back to the ill-conceived secret Sykes-Picot agreement of 1916 when World War I was raging. France and Britain drew up maps of how Arabia would be divided up after the war with no regard for the desires of the people living there.

The following year the British officially issued the Balfour Declaration pledging to create a home in Palestine for Jews. The British withdrew from Palestine in 1948 when the State of Israel was officially created. Israeli Zionists began attacking Palestinian settlements ultimately driving over 750,000 people from their ancestral homes and stealing their land.

Today the fighting continues as Israel pursues it’s Greater Israel campaign which would take land from Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Sadly, Israel’s murderous campaigns could be stopped almost immediately if the US refused to continue providing money and military equipment and support.

But Israel has managed to buy the US Congress with an unregistered foreign lobby known as American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). For example, during the 2023-2024 election cycle AIPAC and Its affiliates gave over $100 million to US Congressional candidates making it the single largest Political Action Committee (PAC).

And President Trump appears to be unable or unwilling to use the power he holds to reign in Israel. Some believe Israel could have embarrassing information on President Trump through Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency but that is purely speculation. Regardless, Israel continues to pursue its murderous campaign in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon (and I suspect Iran again soon) with full US support, at least for now.

But the tide is rapidly turning against Israel as news of the slaughter in Gaza, Lebanon, and the West Bank leaks out. A Pew Research poll published in April 2026 found that just over 60 percent of Americans had a negative view of Israel. Sooner or later US politicians will be forced to respond to their constituents changing views on Israel if they want to remain in power. That day can’t come soon enough!
