I know there is a lot of angst and pearl-clutching in response to Trump’s nominations of so many ardent Zionist-supporters to his Administration. Yet, not a single one of the nominees has a blood relationship with Israel. Not one holds or has held Israeli citizenship. So, on that count, Trump is doing better compared to Biden. I know, small consolation. Look on the bright side — Marco Rubio will never be called, “Netanyahu’s lawyer,” a title currently held by Antony Blinken.
Let me quote Senator John Fetterman (yes, the stroke guy):
Got to admit it. Fetterman nailed it.
The Trump nominations remind me of Sergio Leone’s last spaghetti western, i.e. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Time for some mood music from Mr. Morricone, RIP.
Since none of the nominees are on the job, we will have to wait-and-see who merits being labeled, Good, Bad or Ugly. I want to reiterate a point I made yesterday — there is a lot that can happen in Ukraine and the Middle East before January 20th. The biggest surprise may come from Iran. Right now, the ardent Zionists are convinced that they eliminated Iran’s air defenses on October 26 and only have to stroll into Iran to destroy the leadership and their potential nuclear sites. Don’t believe me? Here is an email I received today from one of these Zionist lunatics. The person, who is a US citizen, is convinced that this is what Israel will do (at least according to his feverish mind):
This is why they will have to kill all the mullahs like in Lebanon and most of the IRGC leadership and many of the local leaders of the security services so the people can revolt safely. Israel cannot rest and be secure until these people are all dead and the nuke facilities are totally destroyed. It is that simple
Yep. Real simple when you are sitting in a recliner in a NYC condo sucking on a martini. But in the real world, Israel can’t advance five kilometers inside Lebanon after almost two months of trying and that same Israel can’t stop the Hezbollah rockets and that same Israel has failed to pacify Gaza after 14 months of fighting, notwithstanding a horrific genocidal campaign. Nonsense!! My point in sharing this with you, my readers (especially those overseas), is to help you understand how goddamn crazy and delusional these people are. They are beyond the reach of reason.
Let me paint one scenario to consider. Iran launches a devastating ballistic missile strike on two or three key Israeli defense or intelligence installations. Unlike October 1, Iran inflicts significant damage, including hundreds of Israeli casualties. At that point, Israel is going to react emotionally and try to retaliate against Iran. If Iran’s air defense system, with Russia assistance, mitigates the Israeli blow, Israel will be unmasked. The ball will be in the US court. Will Biden allow US forces to assist Israel in retaliating? If so, then his actions will result in US bases throughout the region being targeted. Biden will have started World War III and leave Trump with a deadly mess to clean up.
If Iran succeeds in causing major damage to US forces, this will be a dramatic wake-up call to all of the “experts” who have insisted Iran is weak and vulnerable. It will force a shift in the narrative. Does Trump want to start off his final term as President presiding over a war that could force the United States to fight both Iran and Russia? I don’t know the answer to that question.
What I am suggesting is that events may take place that will compel a change of thinking in the United States with regards to both Israel and Iran before Trump takes office.
I was happy to hear that Trump named Tulsi Gabbard as his Director of National Intelligence. That will put Tulsi in a prime position to try to restore some integrity to the intelligence communities. For starters, she is in charge of the Presidential Daily Briefing. She will make sure that Trump is getting accurate information. Secondly, she will have oversight of all covert actions/programs. She has good instincts and has the ability to speak directly to Trump and warn him about doing something stupid. No guarantee he will listen, but at least there will be one adult at the table.
