Iran War Is Unfortunately Helping Democratic Socialists And Hurting Republicans

by | Aug 5, 2026

Netanyahu, the Israel Lobby, and warmongers like Mark Levin have put Republicans in danger of losing control of Congress.

On August 3, the Drudge Report carried a story that said GOP Senate candidates were now facing surprisingly close races in reliably Republican states like Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa and were behind in Republican-held seats in Texas, Ohio, and North Carolina.

On the same day, CBS News reported that the top political prognosticator, Larry Sabato, in his Crystal Ball publication, moved 13 US House seats and the Georgia US Senate seat to the Democrats.

If these reports are accurate, Republicans would lose their 53-seat majority in the Senate as well as its tiny majority in the House. Of course, sometimes a week or two is a long time in politics, and a lot can change between now and early November.

Republican candidates have been going down in polls all over the Country since the Iran War started on Feb. 28. This War has been described as the most unpopular in US history with over 70% of Americans opposed to it.

Many popular conservative and libertarian podcasters, with huge national followings, like Joe Rogan, Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Steve Bannon, Tom Woods, Dave Smith and others have pointed out that this War has been fought only because of political pressure from Israel and its supporters.

The Iran War is clearly putting Israel First and America Last, because it has been very harmful for own national security and our economy. Among other things, it has caused very unpopular jumps in gas, diesel and food prices.

The internationally-respected economist, Professor Jeffrey Sachs, told Judge Napolitano on the Judging Freedom podcast August 3, that Israel and its US backers have threatened our national security by “repeatedly” putting “the United States into wars we should not have been fighting.”

He added that this “therefore endangers US lives, endangered US allied countries, threatened the world economy, and has run up a debt in the United States that now totals probably around ten trillion dollars.” He said these wars were “at Israel’s behest.”

What has been particularly galling to many is that Israel has left all the fighting to the US military and taxpayers while it sits on the sidelines in Iran but continues its killing of men, women and children in Lebanon, Gaza, and the West Bank.

The American people are sick and tired of these forever wars in the Middle East, and they have been fought against countries that were no threat to us. What resentment or hatred there is toward us in that region has been created by our one-sided foreign policy there.
