Last September, the unelected EU apparatchik Ursula von der Leyen alluded to Russian involvement in the destruction of the NordStream pipeline.
The EU Commission boss did not come out and directly accuse Russia. However, her remarks added to previous accusations by the EU that Russia was “using gas supplies as a weapon against the West over its support for Ukraine,” according to the British war propaganda conduit, the BBC.
Earlier this month, the Daily Mail, owned by the 4th Viscount Rothermere, cited “intelligence agencies” as claiming Russia was responsible for blowing up its own pipeline (the cost of the pipeline is estimated at between €9.5-10 billion):
Western intelligence agencies pinned the blame on Russia, arguing that damaging the pipeline was part of a tactic designed to ramp up energy prices in Europe over the winter months while encouraging Western populations to rethink their support of Ukraine.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov responded to accusations that Russia blew up its own pipeline as “predictable, stupid, and absurd.”
Evidence of USG complicity in the terror attack, essentially economic warfare conducted against Germany, was ignored for months.
In the meantime, the propaganda and psychological war media trotted out a discredited CIA hack to insist Russia did it.
Recall Biden announcing he would have Europeans shivering in the cold if Russia decided to go into Ukraine to deal with neo-nazis and threats to its national security.

Add to this Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland’s remark in January that “the administration is very gratified to know that Nord Stream 2″ was destroyed.
Nuland did not comment on the probability of desperate Germans chopping down trees in parks and forests to heat their homes, as Russians did in the 1990s when the USG, in cahoots with the IMF and the “Harvard Boys,” used “shock therapy” to destroy Russia and kill an untold number of Russians.
Consider Nuland’s remarks after Sen. Ted Cruz criticized Putin for daring to protect ethnic Russians in Ukraine. Naturally, Cruz couldn’t resist turning the congressional hearing into a partisan affair, as if there is a difference between the two factions of the USG uniparty.
On February 8, ace investigative journalist Seymour Hersh set the record straight.
Last June, the Navy divers, operating under the cover of a widely publicized mid-summer NATO exercise known as BALTOPS 22, planted the remotely triggered explosives that, three months later, destroyed three of the four Nord Stream pipelines, according to a source with direct knowledge of the operational planning.
Hersh asked Adrienne Watson, White House spokesperson, and Tammy Thorp, a mouthpiece for the CIA, to comment on his exposé. “This is false and complete fiction,” Watson responded. “This claim is completely and utterly false,” added the CIA, known for its long history of lies, sabotage, assassination, and overthrowing elected governments.
President Biden and his foreign policy team—National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, Secretary of State Tony Blinken, and Victoria Nuland, the Undersecretary of State for Policy—had been vocal and consistent in their hostility to the two pipelines, which ran side by side for 750 miles under the Baltic Sea from two different ports in northeastern Russia near the Estonian border, passing close to the Danish island of Bornholm before ending in northern Germany. Pepe Escobar tweeted that Sy’s piece is a “must read,” however he characterized it as geopolitically “childish” because, as many knew on the day of the explosions, “the Yanks did it.”
Predictably, Hersh’s article is being ignored by the corporate war propaganda media.
